Our faces, bodies, and ways of life have changed throughout the years. But our style choice haven’t always been up.
Do we really need strict guidelines? Star actress Ellen Barkin famously declared in O, The Oprah Magazine that women over 50 shouldn’t wear blue jeans to a dinner party. The me (and my seven For All Mankind jeans) insist on disagreeing.
Don’t be a slave to the rules! We only need some guidelines to achieve our style choice, and answers to your questions on how to achieve it. Here is a comprehensive list of essential clothes for women who want to fend off the sexiness and look stylish, active young and classy.
Dark denim, mid-rise, boot-cut jeans
The boot-cut hem has the space for booties (a shoe option that is suitable for nearly every event). Pakistani clothes shop have a variety of dresses that you must keep in your collection.
Dark denim, mid-rise, straight-leg jeans
Get rid of the skinny jeans (unflattering for the majority of us) Get the dark blue version that aren’t blurring or whipping. You can pair them with ballet slippers or moccasins kitten heels, or loafers and then slip them into tall boots during cooler seasons.
The white jeans (boot-cut or straight-leg)
In warmer temperatures, pair with tunics and wedge sandals or a clean black jacket, white shirt and navy coat. If it’s colder wear black or brown boots, an outerwear or sweater and a beautiful scarf.
Great-fitting pants
Find a comfortable wool mix (wool/Lycra is ideal) in charcoal, black or navy. The shape of the pants is essential and the length needs to be precisely measured. Bring your shoes to the retailer (and go to the tailor, should it be required) to ensure the perfect fitting.
Black fitted jacket
The short and snug (not too tight) jackets that sit at the hips can be a stylish style. Black is the most versatile color however, you can also think about cream and navy, as well. It can be worn with skirts, jeans pants, dresses and everything else. Pakistani dresses online have an attractive collection on their stores that you must keep in your wardrobe.
Black pencil skirt
It’s stylish, versatile and attractive, regardless of your height. It’s worn to the knee (or slightly shorter when worn when paired with black tights) Make sure that it has a bit of stretch and drape, but not too restrictive. It can be worn with black booties and black tights or patent-leather pumps for a night out. Do not wear a flat shoe rather, a mid-heel wedge pump with a high heel, or boots. (Here’s an instructional video on how to choose shoes that are elegant and stylish.)
Cardigans
Cardigans with longer sleeves are perfect for straight-leg trousers or jeans but not for skirts. The best one I’ve found to date has to be one called the Classic Cardigan from Guzarish.
Tank tops
Purchase these staples in bulk after you have found the ones you love best. Find these in black, white and cream, to wear underneath the jackets, cardigans sweaters, and blouses. I put them on under nearly every outfit to give a sleeker and more elegant style.
Dresses, our style choice
Dresses are a great way to feel attractive and attractive There is a variety of styles to suit women who are over 50 regardless of dimensions or shapes. Wrap dresses, particularly ones with three-quarter-length or long sleeves. Tie the belt at the side, but never put it in the front. Do not tie it with bows!
Black leather jacket in a cropped style
A black leather jacket isn’t too young for anyone older than 50. The staple is more expensive than others, so search to find one that fits perfectly (cropped around the waist works ideal) and has a classic look that you can wear it for a lifetime.
Mix and match the items, based on the occasion, to create various styles. Include a few essential accessories such as an eye-catching necklace (chunky and tied close to neckline) and a vibrant necklace, cuff bracelet, the perfect pair of shoes and a gorgeous bag (clutch for the evening and the classic black leather shoulder bag for daytime) -You’re all set to go.
